The HR Analyst Salary [According to Different Sources]
In the United States, the average HR analyst salary varies from region to region.
Like all other positions, the average base salary depends on factors such as the cost of living, company size, etc.
Furthermore, the total years of experience will also have an impact on how much an analyst gets paid.
With all that being said, let’s take a look at the estimated figures, collected from different sources:
Glassdoor is easily one of the most reliable platforms to research salary estimates for different roles.
According to the website, the average full-time HR analyst earns $56,291 per year.
In addition to the above, they also receive additional cash compensation of around $4,779. This brings the total compensation to $61,070.
Furthermore, the overall salary range starts from $41,000 and goes all the way up to $77,000.
An important thing to remember here is that the above figures are just the national average computed using reports obtained from different cities, including New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC, to name a few.
You can also check out the exact figures for a specific industry or a company size.
We usually turn towards Indeed to get salary estimates. However, due to the unavailability of salary reports for this specific position, we’ve instead included figures from ZipRecruiter – a platform that’s just as trustworthy, if not more.
According to the platform, the national average salary for HR analysts is $63,459 per year.
The reason why this figure is higher than the one on Glassdoor is because it probably also factors in additional cash compensations. However, there isn’t any copy on ZipRecruiter that indicates that.
Furthermore, the overall range caps at $99,500.
ZipRecruiter also has a location filter that lets you view the average base pay in specific states and cities.
PayScale is yet another dependable platform from where you can get close-to-accurate salary estimates for different positions.
As per their reports, the average HR analyst salary is $58,692 in the United States.
Additionally, by counting the bonuses ($3,572) and profit-sharing ($2,444), the average total touches the $64,708 mark.
How to Become an HR Analyst?
As highlighted earlier, the role of an HR analyst is an entry-level position.
However, it’s highly unlikely that anyone would bag an HR analyst job with no prior experience.
Here’s a brief blueprint to help you get there.
Invest in the Right Education
First things first – you need to invest in the right academics.
While ‘HR analyst’ might sound like a technical field requiring no formal education, all companies require candidates to hold at least a bachelor’s degree.
