The Struggle and Why YOU Should Take This Course
Early in my career, I wasted months trying to manage teams with diversity. Despite all of my efforts, I was completely lost because:
- I lacked a formal background in diversity and inclusion
- The courses offered in the industry were either too jargon-filled, or lacked the sufficient depth.
- I didn’t have insider tips nor the right resources on how to manage hard conversations around race, gender, and disability.
To become a better management professional, I went down the rabbithole to understand what it takes to build successful organizational culture from the inside out. I interviewed thought-leaders within the industry. I learned the behaviors and habits of successful managers of diverse teams. Empowered with this knowledge, I began to scale global teams with lots of diversity.
Within 3 years, I went from never managing anyone outside the United States to managing teams across the world based in countries including Pakistan, Spain, Brazil, and more. I learned about their cultures, diversity needs, and how to provide a workplace of inclusion for them. Today, I have worked and partnered with HR companies including BambooHR, Zenefits, and Gusto to further this understanding of HR management.
I created the Diversity and Inclusion Certification Course so that no one else had to go through the painful experience that I went through to become more experienced.
