Your Role

The Human Resources Shared Services & Vendor Management team owns and supports many Blue Shield programs and policies as well as managing our contingent workforce program. The HR Analyst, Senior will report to the Sr. Manager, HR Shared Services & Vendor Management. In this role you will work closely with businesses units across the enterprise in managing elements of our contingent work program, audit internal HR processes, project/program manage internal policies and processes and act as a subject matter expert on new projects. Responsibilities

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and execute sensitive and/or complex operational processes and data audits including HRIS system transaction verifications, and complete case metrics analysis. Analyzes data, develops, and generates routine and ad-hoc reports.
  • Work closely with Employee Relations, third party vendors, Global Business Services, Information Technology and Legal in consulting on sensitive issues.
  • Be responsible for policy documentation, workflow creation, procedure documentation, website updates, and employee communications.
  • May consult and coach HR Specialists or lower-level analysts for escalated/complex HR cases. This may include training new specialists/analysts in areas of their expertise.
  • Handle Tier 1/2 cases as it relates to their subject matter expertise.
  • Analyze and trouble shoot process breakdowns, providing concise and timely updates to leadership.
  • Other assigned work as needed.

Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Requires strong analytical and problem- solving skills.
  • Requires strong verbal and written communications, ability to pivot those communications depending on audience
  • Requires ability to be agile in moving from one topic/process to another frequently throughout day
  • Requires a self-starter, coming with recommendations for improvement, and a viewpoint to topics at hand
  • Requires strong ability to speak both from a business perspective but also have sound technical knowledge of our processes
  • Requires strong adherence to milestones, goals, and deadlines and being proactive in communicating when roadblocks present themselves
  • Prior HR experience is prefered

  • Hybrid (Default): Work from a business unit-approved office at least two (2) times per month (for roles below Director-level) or once per week (for Director-level roles and above). Exceptions:

o   Member-facing and approved out-of-state roles remain remote.

o   Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.

o   For employees with medical conditions that may impact their ability to work in-office, we are committed to engaging in an interactive process and providing reasonable accommodations to ensure their work environment is conducive to their success and well-being.

  • On-Site: Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.

Office Environment – roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork – Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
