Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Manager to join our team in Downtown Los Angeles. This role is pivotal to shaping our organization’s human resources landscape—you will own the full spectrum of HR operations while partnering closely with leadership to drive strategic initiatives that align with our business goals. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at building inclusive workplace cultures, and have a deep expertise in U.S. HR compliance, we want to hear from you!
Core Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and periodically review the company’s compensation & benefits (C&B) policies to ensure they are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our organizational culture and values.
- Develop key HR frameworks including job evaluation processes, job description standards, and promotion criteria to strengthen our talent structure and support employee growth.
- Ensure full compliance of the entire C&B structure with all applicable U.S. federal, state, and local labor regulations (with a focus on California-specific mandates).
- Oversee end-to-end compensation processes, including salary planning, bonus calculations, and incentive program development—guaranteeing timeliness and accuracy of payroll operations.
- Maintain close collaboration with the headquarters to ensure local C&B systems meet global standards and organizational expectations.
- Manage ad-hoc administrative functions for the local Los Angeles office to support smooth daily operations.
- Build, refine, and execute comprehensive HR management systems that scale with the company’s growth.
- Lead employee relations (ER) operations across the U.S., with primary focus on California, New York, New Jersey, and Texas. Partner with headquarters HR teams and external vendors to streamline onboarding, offboarding, and all ER-related processes.
- Develop and optimize performance appraisal systems and supporting policies to align with business objectives. Drive performance review cycles, conduct data analysis, and implement iterative improvements to enhance effectiveness.
What You Bring
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel are a must).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment without compromising quality.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a proactive mindset and keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated success thriving in a fast-paced startup or high-growth organization.
- Solid experience collaborating effectively in diverse, cross-cultural workplaces with employees from varied backgrounds.
- Deep expertise in U.S. (especially California) labor laws and HR regulations—ability to navigate complex compliance requirements with confidence.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Why Join Us?
- Work in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles—vibrant location with easy access to transit, dining, and amenities.
- Play a strategic role in shaping our company’s culture and talent strategy.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development in a supportive, inclusive environment.
