The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day HR operations within our organization. This role ensures the company’s HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and training, run smoothly and effectively. The HR Manager works closely with leadership to foster a positive workplace culture, enhance employee engagement, and align HR strategies with organizational goals.

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, or in a similar HR role, 5+ years.
  • Proven experience with full life cycle payroll.
  • Mortgage HR experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and employment law (e.g., FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and EEOC regulations).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization, handle sensitive situations with discretion, and communicate effectively.
  • Problem-solving abilities: Skilled at managing employee issues and resolving conflicts in a fair and effective manner.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle administrative tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • HR certifications, such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent, are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances. Resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and ensure the organization maintains a positive work environment. Promote employee engagement and morale.
  • Full Cycle Payroll: Run the payroll process from start to finish within the Gusto HRIS platform. This includes bi-weekly payroll processing and all-time, and attendance procedures.
  • Performance Management: Manage performance review systems, set clear expectations for performance, provide regular feedback, and guide managers on performance evaluations. Assist with employee development and improvement plans as needed.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and organize professional development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Support the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition and integration into the company.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Administer compensation programs and benefits packages. Ensure salary structures are competitive, equitable, and in line with industry standards. Communicate benefits information and help employees with questions or issues regarding their benefits.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the company’s HR practices comply with labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on changes in employment law and advise leadership on compliance issues.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention: Develop and implement programs and activities that foster a positive organizational culture and high employee engagement. Lead initiatives to improve employee retention and reduce turnover.
