A Diversity and Inclusion Training Course is a great way for management professionals to learn strategies and tactics on how to create a diverse and inclusive workplace. The HR University Diversity and Inclusion training gives you insights into unconscious bias, provides tools on how to combat discrimination at work, and offers guidance about what questions should be asked during interviews. It is important that every company invests in diversity and inclusion training because not only can it improve employee retention rates but organizations will also have greater productivity outcomes.
Some of the benefits of this type of training include improving your organization’s culture, better understanding employees needs, and becoming knowledgeable with legal regulations (EEOC). Other benefits include improved quality of work through varied perspectives and creative ideas, better customer satisfaction by meeting diverse needs, and more innovation as a result of people from differing backgrounds collaborating to generate new solutions to problems.
In order to make your company more welcoming and inclusive you can set clear policies on how employees should behave towards one another so everyone knows what is expected and where they stand. This includes making sure there’s no tolerance for harassment of any kind. You can also make sure there is ample representation of diverse backgrounds in every department, not just senior leadership. This includes recruiting and hiring a workforce that reflects the demographics of your customer base so you can better understand their needs. The third way is you can find ways to celebrate differences among team members by hosting events focused on different cultures or bringing speakers into the office who are leaders from multicultural communities
Upon completing the Diversity and Inclusion Certification Course, you will receive a digital badge and an e-certificate. You can download both e-documents and showcase them on your website, or share them with colleagues, managers, and, in case you’re in a recruiting position, new HR candidates.
There are two ways you can confirm your certification status. The first is with the e-certificate and digital badge that you will receive upon completion of the course, and the second being via the certification portal. Each online certificate comes with a verification link that redirects to HR University, where managers and/or potential employers can verify your certification status.
Diversity training is important because it helps make the workplace a safe space for everyone. Diversity is more than just hiring people from underrepresented backgrounds, it’s about making sure your company has different interests and perspectives represented in order to create new solutions to problems that can’t be solved by one person or group of people alone. Plus, having an inclusive environment will help increase employee satisfaction as well as productivity.
