Human Resources Assistant – Position Overview

  • Process employee terminations and assist with exit interviews
  • Support the HR Director with reporting for the annual 5500 audit
  • Reconcile HR-related invoices and bills
  • Assist with audits, year-end census reporting, and compliance initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files
  • Process FMLA requests and track eligible hours
  • Enter and manage employee changes in ADP
  • Process employee enrollment and changes for all benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, flexible spending, and 401(k) plans
  • Support new hire onboarding processes
  • Schedule interviews and pre-screen resumes, forwarding qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Provide HR support for approximately 200 employees across multiple locations
  • Deliver comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, including report generation, data collection, and day-to-day HR tasks


Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of employment and HR laws
  • Prior experience supporting an organization with approximately 200 employees
  • General knowledge of core HR functions
  • Intermediate Excel skills


Salary:
 $40,000 annually
