We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an HR Assistant. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive Human Resources support, contributing to the efficient operation of the HR department and other relevant departments.

Important Notes

  • Workday experience is a plus but not required.
  • Preference for candidates with at least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some recruiting and payroll experience is preferred.

salary: $18 – $18.45 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM – 4 PM

Responsibilities

  • Process new hires, including pre-employment screenings, new hire orientation, and paperwork.
  • Handle employee data, leave management, filing employee relations documentation, meeting notes, internal/external written correspondence, filing, and report creation.
  • Recruit candidates by posting open jobs, screening applications, arranging interviews, participating in the selection process, and administering pre-employment tests.
  • Coordinate volunteer and staff training events or programs and recommend resources.
  • Process hourly and salaried payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies.
  • Provide general office/clerical support with a focus on customer service (internal/external).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and possess payroll experience.
  • Have knowledge of the recruitment process, payroll, and employee relations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 years or more of general office/clerical experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possess payroll experience.
  • Excellent customer service orientation, both internal and external.
  • Competency in creating accurate reports and managing data.
  • Ability to present information in forms, tables, and spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources and Payroll.
  • 1+ years of experience with Kronos and PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Familiarity with popular social media recruiting platforms.
