About the Position:

The Director of Human Resources (HR) provides leadership and guidance to develop and implement the Company’s national HR function. The Director is responsible for overseeing, evaluating, improving, and managing all human resources programs, policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic HR goals to support the Company’s overall goals.

Job Type: Full Time (Remote)

Pay: $115,000-$125,000/year (Negotiable based on experience)

General Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the development of a national HR function to support the Company’s subsidiaries.
  • Collaborates with the Company’s executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through HR programs and policies.
  • Provides guidance, coaching and leadership to the Company’s subsidiary leadership and management teams.
  • Assists with resolution of human resources, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance management, employee incentive program, training, and other HR programs.
  • Identifies key performance indicators for the Company’s human function; assesses the Company’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management, collaborating with in-house and outside counsel as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration.
  • At least ten years of human resource management experience required, with strategic and/or organizational development experience highly preferred.
  • Experience building an HR function or department a plus.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
