Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Workday, Leave of Absence (LOA) administration, and Workers’ Compensation processes. This position plays a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing support to end-users.
  • Manage and administer leave of absence requests, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other types of leave.
  • Coordinate Workers’ Compensation claims, ensuring timely reporting, documentation, and resolution.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and applicants, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns in a timely manner.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR coordination or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Workday HRIS system required.
  • Strong understanding of Leave of Absence (LOA) administration and Workers’ Compensation processes.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing high-quality service.
