LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a global fintech organization in Overland Park, KS, and assisting them search for a new HR Director. This HR Director will support US employees, and also partner with the global business leaders doing various HR initiatives and large scale projects. We are searching for a true HR Generalist who has transitioned into a leadership role, and is ready to take on her or his next exciting challenge. This HR Director will have at least 10 years’ overall HR work experience as a Generalist, and at least 4 years’ experience working at the senior manager or director level as a business partner. This HR Director will lead the HR function for the US as a valued member of the senior leadership team, and report into a global leader over HR. This role will lead the local implementation of all HR strategies and oversee the day-to-day operations of people processes, practices, and the US team of about 100 employees. The HR Director’s focus will be on supporting the senior leadership team and regional employees in talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and engagement. This HR Director will also lead and collaborate with management on strategic plans related to staffing, compensation, benefits, training, and human relations.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the business and regional senor leadership team to ensure HR strategies align with overall business objectives.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, payroll oversight and employee relations.
  • Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including recruiting, employment processing, compensation and payroll, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety, and employee relations and retention.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the talent needs of strategic goals.
  • Develop operational people plans tailored to meet the needs of each business unit within the region. Understand factors driving business performance and prioritize initiatives critical to organizational success.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state and local HR laws. Advise management on needed actions to correct deficiencies in application of policies.
  • Actively promote self-insured medical plan cost savings measures, including education of employees on being good consumers; continual research of new cost saving opportunities.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of benefits programs.
  • Manage human resources department by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff. Plan, monitor, appraise and review staff job contributions and implement change where necessary.
  • Ongoing professional development by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Coach leaders to enhance their capabilities and drive performance and engagement.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Participate in global initiatives as required.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ total HR experience in a Generalist role, with the most recent 4+ years’ in a senior leadership role with a business partner focus
  • Experience in a growing fintech business is highly preferred, at the very least a background supporting a busy, matrix business
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law and regulations
  • Influential communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven project management abilities
  • Strong presentation and data skills.
  • Data leading leadership conversations, provision of forecasts.
  • Must have strong presentation and data skills
  • Principles, practices, methods, procedures, and terminology used in technical HR work.
  • Various state and federal laws related to HR and benefits administration.
  • Financial and statistical recordkeeping and reporting techniques related to HR, payroll, and insurance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and HR certification (SPHR or SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred

Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
