Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, California. The HR Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the HR team in various tasks related to employee relations, compliance, compensation administration, and benefit functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration of HR-related tasks, including but not limited to, ADP – Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Utilize ATS – Asynchronous Transfer Mode for efficient HR operations
  • Work with Ceridian and HRMS for effective management of human resources
  • Utilize the ‘About Time’ tool for efficient time tracking and management
  • Assist in benefit functions and compensation administration to ensure employee satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to HR
  • Handle employee relations with professionalism and discretion
  • Use your knowledge of HR best practices to contribute to the ongoing improvement of our HR systems and practices.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in ADP – Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Familiarity with ATS – Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
  • Knowledge of HRMS and Ceridian.
  • Experience in About Time software is a plus.
  • Understanding of Benefit Functions within the HR department.
  • Experience in Compensation Administration.
  • Knowledge of Compliance laws and regulations in the non-profit sector.
  • Proven skills in managing Employee Relations.
  • Prior experience in a non-profit organization is desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is a plus.
