SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE:

The Human Resource Manager is a strategic business partner and member of the site leadership team. This position works closely with local management to ensure a safe, productive and engaging work environment for our employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for developing organizational competency: conducts need assessments, participates in workforce planning, delivers targeted training programs, utilizes change management techniques, leads key performance management initiatives and monitors performance evaluation program.
  • Responsible for the local compensation program, including conducts wage surveys to maintain competitive compensation plans.
  • Supports key HR initiatives to position Hydro as a preferred employer.
  • Responsible for all recruitment at plant level including developing strategies to secure high engagement and minimize turnover.
  • Develop and maintain systems for onboarding and new-employee orientations, career-path/succession programs, employee relations counseling as well as conducting stay and exit interviews
  • Monitor the organizational climate and be a discussion partner providing HR consultation services for the operational director and plant management team on work environment and satisfaction.
  • Maintain and update role descriptions in INOSA as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain department records and reports including organizational charts and employee directory.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping of insurance coverage, retirement plan, and personnel transactions such as compensation changes, garnishments, hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
  • Represent and/or conduct hearings and investigations for the Company in HR related matters.
  • Ensure that human resources policies and programs are administered consistently.
  • Participates in management team meetings and attends other meetings, as required
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (federal, state, and Hydro) relating to the human resources function
  • Exhibits and lives the Hydro Values (CARE, COURAGE and COLLABORATION) as part of doing business. Maintains honesty, integrity and professionalism in all interactions with team members and leadership
  • Take lead on company initiatives towards social responsibility and engagement in the local community.
  • Take the role as local ambassador for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) and other program targeting a work environment without any form of discrimination and harassment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, or related field, with at least 5 years of human resource management experience;
  • HR experience in a manufacturing environment.

PREFERED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • PHR and/or SHRM- SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional) credential preferred.
